2023 was a year full of ups and downs for most of us. Personally, I experienced the whole spectrum: tragic loss, the joy of new friendships, and a successful year professionally. But it was the death of a young friend that hit me hardest. She never had time to fulfill her dreams, to live the life she wanted. Until this year, I’d never made a personal bucket list, but my first (and only) New Year’s Resolution is crafting one – with all the places I want to see. Soon. Now.
Making a bucket list helps you focus on what’s important in life and gives you a sense of purpose. It’s a way to challenge yourself and to push yourself out of your comfort zone. The places that call out to me are exactly for that reason – they’re outside of my everyday experiences. They represent adventure, dreams, and everything extraordinary.
Join me in a TravelAvidly Bucket list series of destinations. Maybe something will speak to you, inspire you, draw you in. My first bucket list destination is somewhere I’ve wanted to go since I was a teenager — the exotic, spiritual, other-worldly… Nepal. What could be more life-changing than 11 days exploring Nepal? Our tour is meticulously curated to balance cultural exploration, spiritual immersion, wildlife encounters, panoramic vistas of the Himalayas, and off-the-beaten-path experiences. It offers a tantalizing taste of Nepal’s diverse offerings, promising a memorable and enriching journey. This journey promises a deep understanding of Nepal’s heritage, wildlife, and spirituality. From ancient cities to remote villages, every moment is a testament to Nepal’s cultural tapestry and natural wonders.
