Paris to Bordeaux Food and Wine Discovery with Pam

In the afternoon or evening we’ll take an overnight flight from the US to Paris

We arrive in Paris in the morning and take a private transfer to our hotel, Hotel Petit Lafayette. After settling in, we’ll have time to explore the city before we take our River Dinner Cruise down the Seine! While we eat and drink some great French wines, we’ll enjoy sights like the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, and Eiffel Tower drift by.

We’ll head to bed early to prepare for our upcoming adventures!

After breakfast we’ll meet our guide for a all day tour of Paris’s iconic landmarks. Skip the lines at the Louvre Museum for an immersive art experience and see the famous Mona Lisa. Explore Montmartre and Ile de la Cité on guided walks and enjoy views of the Eiffel Tower from Trocadero Square. Conclude your day with a glass of wine while gazing on the Parisian sunset.

After Breakfast we will take a two hour train ride to Bordeaux and check in to Le Boutique Hotel and Spa. We be able to Stroll through Bordeaux’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, We can explore the Gothic St. Andre Cathedral, Place de la Bourse, and Rue Sainte-Catherine for shopping and dining. We will have lunch and dinner in Bordeaux and maybe try some new wine.

We will have breakfast in the hotel before veturing out to our hightlight of the day, the La Cité du Vin. This is a unique cultural facility where wine comes to life through an immersive, sensorial approach, all set within an evocative architectural design. La Cité du Vin gives a different view of wine, across the world, across the ages, across all cultures and all civilizations. A must-see experience during any stay in Bordeaux. We will have lunch and dinner before returning to the hotel for the evening.

After breakfast we will meet a guide to Discover some of France’s most celebrated coastal scenery on this private, full-day tour from Bordeaux to Arcachon Bay. Depart in the morning from central Bordeaux in a private vehicle and head to a nature reserve, where you’ll sample oysters and local white wine. Next, head to Arcachon for lunch (own expense) and sightseeing before continuing to the Dune of Pilat—climb to the summit for unbeatable views.

We will have dinner before returning to the hotel for the evening

We can have a late wake up today and enjoy the morning as we make our way to our activity where we will Spend an afternoon wine tasting in the French countryside in one of the most famous wine regions – St-Emilion – during our tour from Bordeaux. On this tour, we will stop at a prestigious growth winery in either region to sample the local wines. Nibble on French cheese and cured meats with fresh bread as you sip. Cap off the small-group tour with a mini-class, during which you’ll learn some wine-tasting tips from an expert.

We will have breakfast before going to the Left bank, where Cabernet is widely planted, we will Enjoy the idyllic scenery and world-class wines on a wine tour of the Médoc region from Bordeaux. Visit two classified growth chateaux wine estates for guided wine tastings. Admire the spectacular scenery surrounding them and along the drives. Pass other famous chateaux, such as Palmer and Chateaux Margaux.

We will have time to shop and stroll before dinner and returning to the hotel

After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and head to the train station where we will head back to Paris for our last night in France. We will be able to see any sights that we missed on the first part of our trip and have our farewell dinner where we can recap our time together in France.
