Icelandic Adventure – June 2025

Departure from the USA on a flight to Reykjavik.

Welcome to Iceland!

After arriving at Keflavik Airport, our guide will greet us and transfer us to our hotel in Reykjavik.

We begin our adventure with a relaxing afternoon at our centrally located hotel, the perfect base for exploring the city’s vibrant charm. After check-in and dropping off our luggage, we’ll have free time to wander through the charming streets of Reykjavik at our own pace.

In the evening, we’ll come together for a welcome dinner (included), a perfect opportunity to get to know each other and set the tone for the exciting journey ahead.

We start our day with a delicious Icelandic breakfast at our hotel, fueling up for a day of relaxation and exploration.

Next, we get to choose our perfect spa experience:

• Blue Lagoon – We can soak in the world-famous milky-blue geothermal waters, letting the mineral-rich warmth rejuvenate our bodies and minds.
• Sky Lagoon – We can indulge in a luxurious 7-step spa ritual, moving through a cold plunge, sauna, steam bath, and mineral soak for the ultimate relaxation.

Feeling refreshed, we’ll head to a nearby restaurant for lunch, savoring local flavors before continuing our adventure. In the afternoon, we’ll explore Reykjavik on a personal city tour, uncovering the city’s fascinating history, vibrant culture, and hidden gems.

The evening is ours to enjoy – whether we choose to dive into Reykjavik’s lively nightlife, take a scenic evening stroll, or try some traditional Icelandic cuisine for dinner, we’ll soak up the magic of this incredible city together.

After a hearty breakfast at our hotel, we set off on an unforgettable Golden Circle adventure, exploring some of Iceland’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

Our journey takes us to:

• Thingvellir National Park – We’ll walk between two continents as we stand at the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, soaking in the rich history and dramatic landscapes.
• Haukadalur Valley – Here, we’ll witness Strokkur, Iceland’s most active geyser, as it erupts every few minutes, sending boiling water high into the air.
• Gullfoss Waterfall – We’ll feel the sheer power of the “Golden Waterfall” as we stand at its edge, watching thousands of gallons of glacial water crash into the canyon below.

Midway through our adventure, we’ll stop for lunch at a cozy local café (not included), enjoying a break before we continue exploring. Next, we visit Kerið Volcanic Crater, a stunning crater lake with striking red and green slopes, offering a glimpse into Iceland’s fiery geological past.

Our final stop of the day is Seljalandsfoss, a majestic waterfall where we can take a thrilling walk behind the cascading water for a truly immersive experience. As the day winds down, we return to Reykjavik, where the evening is ours to enjoy. Whether we relax at a local café, explore more of the city, or find a cozy spot for dinner, we’ll reflect on an incredible day of adventure.

After a nourishing breakfast, we set off on an unforgettable full-day South Iceland adventure, where dramatic landscapes and breathtaking natural wonders await.

Our journey takes us to:

• Skógafoss Waterfall – One of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, standing an impressive 60 meters tall. We can climb the staircase to the top for a panoramic view or stand at its base to feel the mist on our faces.
• Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach – A stunning volcanic beach where we’ll marvel at towering basalt columns, dramatic sea stacks, and the powerful waves of the North Atlantic.
• Sólheimajökull Glacier – A mesmerizing ice cap where we’ll witness the striking contrast of blue ice, volcanic ash, and rugged terrain, showcasing Iceland’s ever-changing landscapes.

We’ll pause for lunch at a scenic spot, taking in the beauty of our surroundings before continuing our adventure. With time to explore and soak in the dramatic coastal views, we’ll embrace the raw, untouched beauty of Iceland’s south coast before making our way back to Reykjavik.

The evening is ours to enjoy – whether we unwind in a cozy café, explore more of the city, or indulge in a delicious dinner, we’ll end the day reflecting on the incredible sights we’ve experienced.

Today, we have the freedom to tailor our adventure with one of two incredible experiences:

• Kerlingarfjöll Hiking Tour – Immerse ourselves in Iceland’s raw beauty as we hike through a breathtaking geothermal mountain range. With steaming valleys, bubbling hot springs, and dramatic landscapes, this adventure offers a true taste of Iceland’s wild and untamed nature.
• Reykjavik Lava & Food Tour – Begin with a thrilling Lava Show, where we witness real molten lava being poured before our eyes, recreating a volcanic eruption. Then, embark on a Food Lovers Tour, indulging in traditional Icelandic delicacies like fermented shark, hearty lamb soup, and freshly baked rye bread with butter.

After an exciting day, we enjoy a free evening in Reykjavik to explore at our own pace. Whether strolling through the charming streets, visiting a local café, or finding the perfect spot for dinner, we make the most of our final moments in this vibrant city.

After breakfast, we set out on a breathtaking journey to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, a region often called “Iceland in Miniature” for its stunning variety of landscapes.

Our adventure takes us to:

• Kirkjufell Mountain – Iceland’s most photographed peak, made famous by Game of Thrones, offering a picture-perfect view alongside its cascading waterfall.
• Arnarstapi Cliffs – Dramatic coastal rock formations sculpted by the relentless waves of the North Atlantic, where we can admire the power of nature.
• Djupalonssandur Black Pebble Beach – A unique lava beach scattered with smooth black pebbles and remnants of a historic shipwreck, telling stories of Iceland’s seafaring past.

We’ll stop for lunch in a charming local village, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere before making our way back to Reykjavik.

In the evening, we’ll gather for a farewell group dinner (included), reminiscing about our unforgettable journey and celebrating the incredible experiences we’ve shared.

We savor one last Icelandic breakfast before our airport transfer, reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had. From majestic glaciers and erupting geysers to black sand beaches and rich Icelandic culture, every moment has been an unforgettable adventure. As we depart Reykjavik, we carry home not just memories but a deep connection to this land of fire and ice.
