Scotland – Edinburgh, highlands & Isle of Skye 2025. (SOLD OUT)

Depart to Edinburgh Scotland

We’ll arrive in Edinburgh late morning and take a private transfer to the hotel to unpack and relax. The rest of the afternoon we will explore the mile and tour the local art museum. In the afternoon, we will experience a small Scottish pub followed by a welcome dinner.

After breakfast, we will meet our guide and take a partial riding and walking tour through the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Here, we will walk the Royal Mile, experiencing the “Fringe” and visit local cathedral iconic history spots and have a local lunch. Afterwards, you will have som free time before dinner at a local Michelin star restaurant. In the evening we will experience the wonderful ” Royal Military Tattoo festival” in the Edinburgh castle. This is an event you will remember for the rest of your life.

After breakfast, we will meet our guide, and taking a private walking tour of the famous Edinburgh castle. After lunch , you will free time to shop and take in the festival. In the evening we will have dinner and enjoy the Royal Mile one more time.

We will depart on the Scotrail Train ride through the beautiful Scottish countryside to the Highlands of Inverness. This three hour visual experience will be impressive as we arrive in Inverness and walk to our hotel. We will have a walking tour of downtown Inverness and its glory. This will be followed by dinner off the Loch Ness river. Off to our rooms to rest up for a full day in the highlands.

After breakfast we’ll meet our guide and driver for a tour of the lovely area around Inverness. Stops will of course include Loch Ness – including a boat ride on the Loch – and a number of historic castles and monasteries. We will also visit one of the local Whisky companies and sample some fine Scotch. In the evening we will dine in Inverness and experience the local flavors.

We will have an early start as we meet our guide and take in a full day ride into the Highlands and visit castles,  we will head west taking in the glens on route to the Isle of Skye. A visit to the iconic Eilean Donnan Castle, before heading over the sea to Skye. On arriving on Skye there is opportunity to see the Cullin Mountains, before arriving in Portree for some Lunch, then a drive north out of Portree taking in the Old Man of Storr, Lealt Falls, Kilt Rock and the Quirraing before heading to the Fairy Glen and back to Portree for overnight accommodation. 

The following morning would be leaving Portree and heading to the Armadale castle and gardens before boarding the Ferry at Armadale for Mallaig. (30 minute crossing) on arrival at Mallaig there would possibly opportunity to see the Harry Potter Steam Train which should be stationary at the station at that time. Head east towards Fort William taking in the silver sands of Morar on the Atlantic coastline, before arriving at the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Harry Potter Bridge) and also the location for the Bonnie Prince Charlie statue where Bonnie Prince Charlie arrived in Scotland back in 1745 and addressed the clan Chiefs before the 45 uprising. (If the weather and time permits). Then continue into Fort William taking in Ben Nevis and the local Ben Nevis distillery if that was of interest before arriving at overnight accommodation in Inverness. We will have a farewell dinner and review our wonderful adventure.

After breakfast, we will have our driver take us to the Inverness airport for our trip home.
