Overview

Come along as we cruise the Dalmatian Coast on our own private yacht from Dubrovnik to Split. This is a repeat of our July 2023 trip along the Croatia coast in a different vessel. This 11-cabin luxury tall ship has all the high end features you’d expect, including multiple decks for capturing coastal views (one with a jacuzzi), restaurant with bar, sound-proof cabins, and more. We’ll visit charming villages, magical islands, and feast on local delicacies.

Guided walking tours of the medieval cities of Split, Korcula, and Dubrovnik are included. The lesser known island of Vis, kept closed until 1989, offers breathtaking beaches along with a fascinating history. Close by Vis is the island of Biševo, known for the mesmerizing naturally occurring light show of the Blue Cave. Between the expert-led land tours and exciting adventures of snorkeling and paddle boating in the water, there isn’t a more diverse, yet relaxing way to explore Croatia.

Itinerary

We leave home for an overnight flight to Dubrovnik!

We arrive Dubrovnik late morning and take a transfer from the airport directly to the ship. After settling into your cabin, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore this ancient walled-city. We will reconvene at 6:30 for a welcome dinner.

Dinner

After breakfast we will take a half-day tour of Old Town Dubrovnik with a local English-speaking guide. Then we will have free time to explore the rich local history of this UNESCO World Heritage site. We will get to enjoy the scenery of the Elaphiti Islands while having lunch on board and cruising toward Pomena, on the island of Mljet.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast we will visit the National Park, well known for its versatile eco-system and two salt lakes (‘’Veliko jezero’’- Big Lake and ‘’Malo jezero’’- Small Lake) and a Benedictine Monastery from the 12th century located on St Mary’s Islet.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 :
Korčula

After breakfast, we will head to the nearby island of Korčula, taking a break for a swim stop along the way. The city of Korčula is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean, and it is thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. After arriving in Korčula, we will first join our guide for a walking tour of the city, and then have some free time before meeting together at a local restaurant.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 :
Vis

This morning we set sail for the island of Biševo and its famous Blue Cave, known for its breathtaking sunlit reflections in the aquamarine water. It can only be approached by boat and sometimes access is not possible due to weather conditions. We will have lunch on board before arriving in Vis in the afternoon, well known for its strategic importance throughout history. We will have free time to explore Vis at our own pace. Because it was closed to visitors during the Yugoslavia era, it has remained unchanged for decades.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

In the morning, we set sail from Vis and head to Bol, on the island of Brač, famous for its Golden Cape. The 530 meter long golden pebble beach changes its shape and position depending on the winds and currents. We will have time to walk around this small town, have coffee, or simply relax on the beach. After lunch on board, we head to the island of Hvar. We will see the sights with our guide and find out about its rich history and beautiful architecture. In the afternoon we can explore the town and enjoy a delicious dinner. Afterwards the more adventurous among us can experience the vibrant nightlife

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast we set sail for Split. Once we arrive we will get the opportunity to stroll through the streets of Split with our private tour guide. Split is the second largest Croatian town and a UNESCO World Heritage site, best known for its glorious palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian. In the afternoon we’ll have time to explore Split, do some shopping, or relax. In the evening we’ll gather for our farewell dinner.

  1. What an Incredible Week!!
    By Kathryn August 2, 2023
OMG what an amazing trip. We sailed along the Croatian coast stopping at islands with picturesque villages, and great loal food. People on the islands were so friendly! Each day a local guide would give us a guided tour of history, culture, and customs. And every day the captain found a quiet harbor for a swim break. A highlight for me! The crew was so wonderful. We had incredible meals, most 5, or 6 courses. Each a delight. Plus Natasha, the cruise director, kept us as busy as we wanted with winery excursions and tours. Love love TravelAvidly! Great company and this was my second trip with them. I'll be back!
